I have some advice for you to me (I make wedding cakes)

recipes cakes themselves are basic cake recipes. the flavors are endless. you can go to www.allrecipes.com and find recipes cake. I even did some wedding cheesecakes, they are simply on the docks. get a good butter icing and go to town. I even had fresh flowers on cakes and the possibilities are endless. see the above two sites, they are good resources for recipes and ideas and tecnical. good luck wedding cakes are a great hobby and possibly career.

oh well if you want to learn techniques Wilton go to this site, they also show where you can perhaps go too for classes. Oh, they're fun!
