Poodle Terrier Mix

Posted on January 31, 2010.
Poodle Terrier MixAs poodle Poodle is she

I read the phrase in the title somewhere, and even if it is a blatant rip off a line from Forest Gump I thought it was a pretty appropriate way to describe the Retriever world's oldest water, circus performer and truffle hunter.

Poodles are lively and active dogs, are very loyal and love (like?) Warning. The life of Poodle is about 12-15 years or more, with some that I have heard of life until 18. They are a very intelligent dog - one of the most intelligent by any method that you care to apply. I attended a dog "IQ test" in which the dog's head was covered by a blanket and the dog programmed to see how long it would take to discover. Unsurprisingly, the winner was the Border Collie - with the poodle to come in a very close second.

The Standard Poodle is the largest of the breed poodle, standing at least 15 inches (38 cm) at the shoulder, and it is a pretty face. Experts agree that the Standard Poodle is one the oldest breeds specializing in hunting after game in the water, and sometimes still is used as a hunting dog. History shows that the standard poodles that we know and love today probably developed around the 17th century in Germany. They are more likely to descend from the beginning of the German water retrievers, but may also be related to spaniels of the Iberian Peninsula. Although originally a hunting dog, the Standard Poodle today is primarily a companion and show dog. They are proud, elegant, dignified, gentle and good humor.

The toy, or French Poodle is the smallest at 11 inches (29cm) or less at the highest point of the shoulders. Originally from the German "Pudel", the French developed the "poodle" in the miniaturized version that we know today as the Toy Poodle. These dogs are almost exclusively companion and show dogs, but can sometimes be seen performing tricks on stage or in circuses. The Toy Poodle is sensitive and remarkably intelligent.

Dogs whose size larger than the Toy Poodle even smaller than the Standard Poodle are classified as miniature poodles. The poodle is regarded as a gay, super intelligent, sensitive pet very easy to train.

The poodle has a very attractive, robust appearance, and displays an air of distinction and dignity peculiar to the breed. Although they come in different sizes, shape and appearance of race meets. The general appearance of the body of a poodle is of good proportions, the length of the body generally exceeding the height at the withers.

The coat of a poodle is curly, hard and dense. Poodles do have a double layer that has the quality and appearance of the lamb's wool. It is good, smooth, light texture and easily when nodes are not treated. Because of variations in grooming a poodle can be the most elegant of dogs or about the most miserable. Most puppies have their tails cut race, giving them a distinctive character, appearance puff.

The Poodle temperament is probably one of the breeds best qualities - but it often depends on its size. There is usually a significant difference between the temperament of a toy, miniature and standard poodle.

Perhaps no other dog has been crossed as far as the Poodle to try to improve the qualities of two breeds. "Poo" hybrid dogs across cultures. Examples include the labradoodle (Labrador retriever) and Goldendoodle (Golden Retriever), which have been bred primarily as companion dogs hypoallergenic. The appearance of these dogs range from a shaggy looking Golden Retriever to a relaxed loop Poodle, but usually something in between. The Schnoodle (Schnauzer) has the characteristics of temperament Schnauzer (Terrier liveliness) and appearance / intelligence of the poodle. The Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel) has a squarely built appearance with fur complete but less curly. Other changes included.
