Crave wine. Crave food. Crave Music. Crave Paso CRAVE - Hundreds of young wine drinkers have converged on the case of wine sold in the season that led Paso Robles, 30 miles south of San Luis Obispo to show his generosity of fine wines to a new generation of wine drinkers. Expectations of being surprised by an evening of fine entertainment, tempting wines and small bites pleasing palette, have been overwhelmed by all accounts.
On entering the room of the San Luis Obispo Veteran mostly under 30 years old guests were greeted by friendly hosts and handed a glass of 2007 Matador Rose - Tempranillo Winery Martin & Weyrich paddle wet for the wide range of Food and wine available to come.
Past the entrance and in the vast hall, the guests were overwhelmed by all the exciting choices available. There were nine wine bars for your eating and drinking and enjoyment which included wines paired with food in local restaurants, specialty shops and catering companies. Each bar worn on a varietal wine of many different producers. Surprisingly, the event, including wines from more than 60 Paso Robles Wineries to provide a simple overview of what the 200 Paso Robles Wineries have to offer.
Many began with white wines and taste them with lobster ravioli topped with a sweet vermouth sauce / cream tarragon provided by Level 4 Restaurant and Lounge. Lobster better coupled with the Flip Flop, a Chardonnay / Viognier blend of red soles Winery. The next step is the bar of white Rhone, where Novo Restaurant and Lounge provided a mouth watering Wild Salmon Ceviche with lemongrass mojito that paired perfectly with Esprit de Beaucastel Blanc Tablas Creek Vineyard.
Many have decided to take a break after and before the white address bar red wine and went into the living room sofas and comfortable chairs to relax, chat with friends and enjoy the scene. A DJ spun tunes as the crowd swayed millennium driving rhythms in the room.
CRAVE was full of energy and smiles and it was clear that this inaugural event was one that would certainly attract a crowd in the future and probably the next one must attend event for the twenty something crowd on the central coast .
The bars in red wine were abundant with six bars to choose from. At the helm of indigenous Syrah Restaurant and Lounge ahi tartare tacos served with Napa cabbage was a crowd favorite and paried well with a little Syrah Halter Ranch Vineyard.
