Can I use sesame oil as a pesticide for my San Pedro cactus? I have spider mites that live in two of my San Pedro cactus and they affect the growth of all the new growth that is much leaner than usual. But I'm sure I read that sesame oil is a biological pesticide for a good San Pedro. nobody knows for sure?
No, I would not do that at all. Plants need to breathe, and I think that oil would clog the pores. Mites are killed by an insecticidal soap, and a dash of dish soap diluted work. Google it. I do not think that the soap could damage the cactus, because it has a very thick waxy skin.
Neem oil is an excellent choice for small, soft pests body like that. It is used in medicine on humans, and it is safe enough to brush your teeth with. You can buy pre-mixed with water as an insecticide, but you can also get the medicinal oil and mix with water in a spray bottle. There are many other organic pesticides, everything will work.
hardy plants get fewer problems with pests, and cacti are generally not too many problems with insects. I think the cactus can be slightly weakened. It is a plant whose spirit speaks to the man and ask him. He will address the feelings or possibly dream images. If you have a link with the factory makes it easy to present in San Pedro after the harvest.
Yes, neem oil is what most people would recommend a natural treatment. Regarding small plants are more often subject to insect infestations, it is not true, insects and other invertebrate pests attack strong healthy plants and cacti are actually very sensitive to red spider mite, this n ' is not helped by the arid conditions under which people tend to cultivate, mites love dry air.
