Looking for a better product that "Misto oil sprayer? I have the "Misto" spray cooking oil - I do not like too well, because it tends to clog and out in a stream rather than spraying. Is there a better product I can use? (No, or Pam spray pre-made.) Thank you! :)
Heather, it is actually a misto. She's right.
Angelwings, you are also entitled not to use PAM. pam is full of chemicals, tastes terrible, and is corrosive to most types of cookware. Mostly non-stick cookware.
Third, you are correct in your assessment of mistos. They suck. I went through three of them. They kept getting clogged. Then one day, I watched Alton Brown, and he used one of those little plastic 99cent sprays such as hairdressers use to soften your hair, but filled with oil. I went to Walmart and bought one. It works like a dream, spray evenly, does not clog, and as Alton said, why buy a unitasker $ 20 when you can spend $ 1? Brilliant!
I use Pam. Those batteries suck.
I do not know where you are located, but if you have a Sur La Table near you, they have several different sprayers available. I have a stainless steel that I got by Cuisipro that does not seem to block as much as my Misto. They also have an online store: www.surlatable.com
Another thing you can try to rinse the front of the spray tip with hot water after each use, it seems to help. Me rinse mine with hot water and spraying it under pressure whenever the others I use the oil it contains.
Hope this helps! :-)
we called Crisco and 2 of your avatar looks messed up!
