Here is a good:

HOUSE OREOS

1 (18 oz) Pkg. Devil's Cake Mix
2 eggs plus 2 tablespoons soup. water
2 v. soup. cooking oil
1 / 2 c. cocoa
Niche Quik powder

Mix well until you can shape the dough into a ball. Let stand for 20 minutes. Shape dough into a ½-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet.

Flatten each ball gently with the bottom of a glass that has been greased when dipped in Niche Quik powder.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove cookies at once and immediately flatten with the back of a spatula. Cool for 20 minutes.

FILLING:

P1. Knox unflavored gelatin
1 / 4 C. cold water
1 tsp Crisco
£ 1 plus 1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp tea. vanilla

Soften gelatin in 1 / 4 cup cold water. Place gelatin in a heatproof cup. Then put the cup heat resistant in a pan of hot water until gelatin becomes clear. Meanwhile, beat the Crisco until light and fluffy, add sugar and vanilla. Mix well, about 10 minutes. Cool and beat in gelatin filling. Gelatin is used only to keep up the filling when the spread in the cookie. Frost and refrigerate until filling is set. These freeze well.

TIPS: I used to cut by half filling using the following: 1 / 2 c. Crisco 2 1 / 2 tsp sugar 1 / 2 c.. vanilla

Beat 5 minutes.
