Cookie jars be perceived as a home business I doubt that any children out there in this world who do not eat like cookies. Dip cookies in milk is synonymous with snacking and children. During my childhood, some fifty years ago, cookies meant the heavenly things that grandma used to cook all afternoon. Today, when time is of paramount importance, cookies are usually sold in grocery stores, ready to eat.
Collectible Cookie Jars Today
During my days, cookies were baked and if everything was left (which is extremely rare) were stored in beautiful large, transparent, glass cookie jars. After the death of my grandmother's cookie jars virtually disappeared from our kitchen shelves. What replaced them cookie jars ready for use in all shapes and sizes. One day when my mother was a spring cleaning of kitchens, we've compiled a few pots of 50-all cookie shapes and sizes, which were inadvertently collected in recent years.
The pile of these jars was designed to be sent for recycling, instead, they became my collection of cookie jars to collect. Immediately I had a collection of ready-more than 50 years to collect cookie jars which made me feel very happy. After this incident, when I should see a cookie jar, I request that it be part of my collection. Soon, my friends and relatives have contributed an average of two to five cookie jars per month.
In this way, my collection overgrew space I had for her in my room and my father offered to make a showcase for my collection of cookie jars in the garage, which I gladly agreed. At the end of the year, the showcase was 387 collectible cookie jars of all shapes, sizes and materials. I had plastic, metal, tin, wood, cardboard and paper, cookie jars - and the display was great.
My fame was in my school and neighborhood and soon I had people come see my collection and admire. One day a friend of mine wanted a gift box for a birthday - she thought that one of my cookie jars collectible would make a wonderful package for his donation. She paid $ 3 for a round, pretty metal box. Soon I had people who buy my pots for all occasions.
In this way, I was an average of $ 100 a week with the sale of my cookie jars, which gave me an idea - why not start a small gift box unit and custom gift boxes? With a little help and investment, I set up a small device for this purpose and in six months, I earned real money. Thus my hobby turned into a money spinner. Is not it great how things work?
