Farmhouse Cake

Posted on February 19, 2010.
Farmhouse CakeWould a firm fruit cake ordinary middle-aged?

over the next two months or do I make a rich fruit cake, cherries, brandy stolen, etc.
would be a cake or ripe fruit rot?

Yes, it stores well and ripens with age, especially if washed down with rum or brandy - the spirits that you like.
I have mine wrapped in greaseproof paper and store in a box. Check it every few weeks, drizzle with the spirits at regular intervals. Bon appetit!

we use in our Guinness fruit mix instead of water, then when cooked and cooled back room and pour a little of Guinness and then wrap and leave for about 1mth or more.

alcohol helps to preserve so that if you put in the brandy, then he will or he will probably just rot!
