Doll Birthday Cake

Posted on February 24, 2010.
Doll Birthday CakeHow to make a Barbie doll birthday cake?

What kind of Barbie can I use and what type of pan can I use to dress "party"? Thank you!

Time: 1 hour
Here's how:
Make a cake in a well greased 2 quart round glass baking dish. (The 2 Quart Classic Batter Bowl from The Pampered Chef is perfect for that.)

Your cake can be any flavor, just choose a fragrance that will give you a color you want for the "skirt" of the cake.
Cool the cake (very important!) And remove the bowl. Then take a Barbie doll (nude) and insert it in the middle of the cake to the waist. You can make a hole to insert the doll, or just his stick firmly if you're in a hurry.
Now you dress Barbie with frosting! The cake forms the skirt of the dress. Use frosting to decorate the skirt (pre-made frosting, or homemade, your choice).
Take the icing on the torso up to the Barbie's bodice of the gown! You can make any design with the frosting, sleeveless dress with straps, etc.
Frosting dress can be simple or very elaborate with frosting rosettes for a formal dress.
Chill and serve cake.
Tips
DO NOT cook the cake with the Barbie in her!
Do not stick the Barbie doll in the cake until the cake is cooled, or the Barbie doll can melt!

How to make a cake BARBIE DOLL

Here are Dale Koppel instructions, step by step in creating a Barbie Doll Cake at home.

STEP 1
Prepare the dough any other flavor cake in two layers do not hesitate to use a mixture. Bake in 2 (8-inch round) cake pans according to package directions.

STEP 2
Cool the cake on a rack according to package directions. Then, each slice of cake crosswise into three layers (a total of six layers).

STEP 3
Put frosting between layers so the finished cake is as big as the measurements of Barbie. You can do it in a deep cake pan so the layers line up well.

Pond Tip: Measure the Barbie you'll use the hips to the toes (yes, Tippy toes). This is the height of your cake will be finished. Use a mixture of icing and prepare it according to the instructions - any flavor will do. The glaze should be thick enough to stabilize the layers.

STEP 4
Wrap the outside of the cake with a layer of waxed paper, so that layers are perfectly straight. Freeze the cake overnight or until solid.

Pond's Tip: Once frozen, the cake can be handled without breaking.

STEP 5
Use a pair of pliers to cut a hole in the layers from top to bottom. The hole should have the same diameter as the Barbie doll. <.
