i can use photographs of homemade cakes Disney on my site? I'm starting my own business restoring and hopefully put some pictures of my products on a website, however some of my products include rice paper / icing cake with Disney characters, etc. on them I'm breaking any copyright rules by posting these pictures to display images of Disney?
Pure opinion on my part but I would say that you are well. If you sell cake pans or overlapping images, so it would be another story, but simply to show and sell the cakes should be well. Also, if you bought recoveries so they should be covered by a copyright agreement between the company and Disney.
Besides, if you violate a law of copyright, then about one million other people doing exactly the same thing. Just do a Google search for Disney character cakes and you'll see thousands of sites doing the same thing. Disney obviously does not sell cakes at local level and I doubt they care. Good luck with your business.
