Do you have any good recipes for diabetic cooking? A great book with recipes is "Recipes for diabetics" by Billie Little (published by Bantam Books). In addition to giving you great recipes, it also gives the nutritional value on each, and exchanges in the Diabetic Diet Exchange for those who follow. Check with Barnes and Noble, they have available on their website. (I love the Banana Cream Pie recipe with puff pastry Pie)
my boyfriend loves this pie I'm using cherries, peaches and apples diced into cubes. I just added a little cinnamon, Splenda and a little flour. I buy the pie crust pre-made because they have little more sugar in it is easier to calculate how much sugar, it's getting in each service. Mix everything together and I cook it at 350 degrees (foil loosely around the edge of the pie to keep it from becoming too dark) for 35-45 minutes. Viola! simple curves of the need for gentleness.
For example, I use my regular cookie recipe and we Splenda for baking instead of sugar. Or a recipe from my Betty Crocker cook book.
