Counting calories is important if you try to lose excess weight, but it is often a pain trying to keep track of them. However, if scientists are to be believed then they may have stumbled upon a method for automatic counting calories.

People try many ways to lose weight, including diet, exercise or supplements weight loss or a combination, but the exercise seems to be quite popular. And most of us using treadmills to burn calories to know how we burned during a workout just by looking at the pedometer reading. At the same time, it's important to know that we do not just burn calories while we're on the treadmill, but even when we walk, drive, cook, laugh, talk, and even during our sleep. So who is going to count all the calories consumed?

The number of calories your technology

Apparently, a strap-on device has been invented, which enables individuals to continuously monitor the calories they burn.

Under development by a group of Georgia Institute of Technology, and appealed to students HappyHR , is a small rectangular-shaped instrument that can be attached to wrist or ankle. Once on the wrist, the instrument begins to collect data on heart rate and exercise. Second, the information collected is sent to a PC via Bluetooth, where the data are analyzed and counted calories through a Web-based software.

A device that resembles a compact MP3 player more subtle, with an integrated surveillance technology fitness is quite encouraging. In fact, researchers want to move ahead of others and even try to integrate advanced applications such as respiratory health and glucose monitoring. This could earn a place as a medicinal value and the provision of hospital equipment .

According to the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) approximately 133.6 million or 66 percent of Americans are overweight or obese. And who may want to lose weight for better health. So, if technologies like these keep coming up, not only to maintain a healthy weight but also fitness, could become much easier.
