Wedding cake cookie favors? 've Seen a few favors cookie that looked like wedding cakes in Brides magazine. So I bought a cookie cutter that looks like a layer cake and three little bags celephane them, but I'm not sure what type of cookies to bake. I like to cook for about one week to 10 days in advance. What kind of cookies to keep? (No gingerbread, please) Also, any suggestions for the frosting (melted white chocolate?)

Butter Cookies Sugar Cut-Out
1 cup butter, softened (no substitutes)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla
1 / 2 teaspoon almond extract
3 1 / 4 cups all purpose flour
1 / 2 teaspoon baking soda
1 / 2 teaspoon baking powder
1 / 2 teaspoon salt
In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and almond extract and beat with an electric mixer on high speed until light and fluffy. In another bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, gradually stir in the butter mixture and mix well. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours. Set the oven to 400 degrees F. sheets with parchment paper (do not use cookie sheets with parchment paper grease only). On a lightly floured surface very oll the dough into 1/4-inch thick around. Cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters. Place the cookies 2-inches on a cookie sheet. Cook 4-6 minutes. Remove cookies to rack to cool completely before frosting.

1 pound sifted powdered sugar
1 tablespoon meringue powder
1 cup Crisco
3 tablespoons water
1 tsp teaspoon vanilla
Mix shortening, water and vanilla. It will take some time to mix, but it will end. Add meringue powder and powdered sugar. Mix - Mix for about 3 minutes. * If this is too rigidly, you can add a little water at a time. Just remember that you want this to be a bit thick so you can distribute * Frost cookies and let set on waxed paper.

my cousin and his fiancee did something like this for their wedding - Round 3 (frosted) Cookies stacked in a bearing, like a wedding cake - really cute favor for us back home, but you're right to be concerned, they n "t keep this property.
before the ice cookies, keep in an airtight container with a piece of bread or two ... This keeps them nice and soft ... but only do it for the first 3-5 days or they will collapse on you when you go for the ice.
for white chocolate, just make sure you keep them in a relatively cool since chocolate makes other flavors so easily at room temperature. Good luck!

Yes cookie sugar but with flour extra. This is how professionals make these cookies favors that look like flower arrangements do, and I would add real butter. You need a more robust frosting, the chocolate will smear. A royal icing will last.
Cookies are going to be bland, perhaps you should have them made by a bakery near the event.
A witness of sugar is your best choice. Frost with the Royal Icing. You can put dots on each layer.
