The perfect romantic honeymoon or anniversary getaway Me know, I know it's your honeymoon or wedding anniversary mark and you want to plan your vacation around it, but you do not know where to go for the romantic getaway of a lifetime. Well, do not worry. I have what you need. I just spent all morning planning the picture perfect getaway for you and your spouse. I will propose the coast of the United States picturesque East. You can start either in Maine and go south, or Florida and go north. If you happen to be stuck in the middle, maybe you can go north or south for a short trip.
1. I have to start somewhere so let me start in Melbourne Beach, Florida, Port d'Hiver Bed and Breakfast. This place is old Florida luxury at its best. There are expansive private porches from which you have a magnificent view over the Atlantic. The Palm Beach Post recommends this B & B in Glowing conditions of shelter, "breakfast fit for a king, and a concierge service to rival any five star hotel." I began to salivate when I read their tropical fruit salad, fresh raspberries and white chocolate scones, egg layers Italian ham, julienned, and toast French vanilla cream topped with cinnamon apples and maple syrup.
2. Casually head north from Florida through Georgia, and stop in Charleston, South Carolina House of the battery carriage. The House transportation is considered among the most romantic inns in Charleston and the moment you pass through its iron gates decorated, you will understand why. Built in 1843, pi. Sumter and majestic civil war cannons stand on one side and the port of Charleston, on the other. After a private breakfast served in your room, you can discover the charm of Charleston coach if you wish. Meander the streets serene historic district. Then back to the hostel for the homemade biscuits and sweet tea in the South.
3. When you leave Charleston, you will head to the coast through North Carolina and Virginia. Your destination is Virginia Beach, a small town not far from Norfolk. Barclay Cottage was built in 1895 as a holiday home. Its synthesis porch rockers around offer a comfortable haven of peace --- so serene, it is difficult to believe that you're only two blocks from a popular beach. If you wish, the owners of a packed breakfast carefully selected for you to enjoy on the beach before most beachgoers appear. Comments on this site are numerous and full of praise. You're sure to enjoy yourself.
4. You're about halfway up the East Coast. Start after a sumptuous breakfast and drive through Maryland, Pennsylvania, skim the edge of New York and the shift to New Haven, Connecticut. You will stay at sea by the Inn and Spa. It is a small hostel, three bedrooms, but you better be pampered with lavish good for the rich. You've come a long way today, you're exhausted (I really feel your pain), so you deserve an extra day at the spa. Bask in the next massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, body --- what you want. (Even the real men enjoy a massage from time to time). If you do not have enough budget for the spa thing, book a romantic room with Queen Ann's huge whirlpool.
5. Complete your romantic throw your life with a night in hostels Ullikana in Bar Harbor, Maine. Here, there are two hostels and for the price of one (joke). Seriously, there Ullikana House and Yellow House --- Make your choice. Both hostels are so attractive, the selection will be difficult. Like other B & B on my list, it was highly rated. It was a first choice in the Explorer's Guide to Maine and Fodor's top choice in their 8th edition. There are many rooms to choose from and you can meet your fancy. I think I've already chosen my breakfast. I'll take the lemon souffled pancakes with warm fruit sauce, apple pancakes, and maybe a little Italian omelet.
