Chocolate fountain at the wedding reception ...? My fiance and I love chocolate we thought it would be a good idea. We intend to have it running for about 2-3 hours. When should we start? Before dinner, the guests can munch while we make pictures? After dinner? During the dance? In addition, items that are good for dipping which can sit for this long?
After dinner, while the pictures are not disordered and no chocolate on their costumes. pound cake is a good dip turn this color used over time.
After the photo, after dancing for dessert. In this way, things will not be embarrassing for the photos and other guests will dance because they will not be distracted by it.
Some class objects plunging the following:
strawberries
raspberries
Pound cake
miniature marshmallows
the rest (brownies, cookies) will be too "small birthday child, and if you think about it, you will normally be dipping chocolate in the chocolate.
Well .... I can tell you we wanted a chocolate fountain at our wedding because our theme is chocolate. Let me tell you about my experience.
I found the one that was $ 99.00 on clearance after Christmas for $ 30.00 so I caught up ... I wanted to test it before the big day. You must first know that you can not heat the chocolate in the fountain, it must be heated in a separate unit (be sure not to burn). It must then be transferred into the fountain (make sure you do not splash on your clothes). To keep it running at optimal performance, you must ensure that a minimum of 4 pounds of chocolate flowing at any time. Which means that someone must be responsible for heating chocolate and filling the fountain. Make sure you have level, ours came with a level above and feet going up and down by turning if it was done with ease. Once we got to run everyone loved .. We had apples, marshmallows, pretzels, orange slices, etc.
Make sure the table you have it on a sheet of dark color, because it will flow no matter how carefully you try to be the chocolate drops and really stand out in the whiteboard, we thought we would simply be a table topper chocolate brown in the spring to eliminate what Brown has been one of our colors. So make sure the cord is in a location that will not stumble.
Then comes the cleaning ... you must empty the return of the fountain chcocolate before it has a chance to harden, then remove it and clean it. Clean with soap was easy just basic and water, as long as you do it before it hardens.
If you can find a company that will rent and watch the fountain for you I would strongly suggest. We .. Given our "test" of the party, decided that we would not have the fountain at our wedding. I could not even imagine what I would ask to keep the fountain and clean it afterwards. This person wouldnt be able to enjoy the reception and I would be concerned they ruin there clothes.
Hope I helped make your decision.
You should do it with desserts
I would do after the ceremony so that guests are welcomed even if you have your picture taken. I've been to two weddings that were this way and it worked well. If you do it after dinner, people will be too full. good dipping items are fruits (strawberries, bananas, pineapple, etc.) and pretzels, marshmallows, pound cake, graham crackers.
I would do it after dinner, along with your candy table is being prepared.
As for diving - I use small sugar cookies, apple wedges, strawberries, bananas, pretzel sticks and marshmallows. I do not use anything like hotcakes because they drip into the chocolate crumb, and it annoys me.
Make sure you get lots of bamboo skewers to have around chocolate. You do not want your guests g.
