Brownie Bucks

Posted on February 6, 2010.
Brownie BucksMy mini pinch just eaten a chocolate brownie-male stars everything I do besides take him to a vet?

I know that if I go to the vet im going to have to pay money I do have to look for them
im really worried, but what I can do please help

* * If he just ate, phone the veterinarian and ask them if this is sufficient to justify chocolate causing vomiting in a dog the size of yours (I've seen anywhere Min Pins from 4 or 5 pounds to about 20). They can advise you if you should induce vomiting and safest way to do it. A phone call is free and chocolate is toxic to dogs and potentially fatal if ingested enough.

Number one, the chocolate is toxic, but it depends on the type of chocolate. Dark chocolate and European chocolates are the worst. Also at the idiots who responded, some chocolates contain sugar substitute called xylitol, xylitol is not, I repeat do not let the system even if the dog vomits up the chocolate. It is rapidly absorbed and can kill your dog if you do not go immediately. Check the label or online to see if xylitol was in that brownie. If yes, have to subject your dog to the death penalty and bring him to a vet.

So it odd that she does not distribute well. Both my dogs eat chocolate almost every day and all is well with them (one is 6 and the other is 13) they also ate a piece since I have them at 2 months. The worst case is that it can be sick later, which simply means that the body tries to get him out of his system, but if you're concerned then take him to a vet.

It takes a lot of chocolate to poison a dog, and the first symptom of toxicity was vomiting, he clears his system, which solves the problem in its own.

Watch for vomiting. No vomiting, no problem. Expect diarrhea. A large number of diarrhea.

Just watch how your dog acts and if it looks sick I think it may be best taken to the vet. But my dog got into the chocolate before and it was finally well. My best advice would just be careful.
