Brazilian Cheese Balls

Brazilian Cheese BallsDo you know a good recipe for Cheese Ball? (Brazilian Cheese Bread / Pao de queijo)?

I found two recipes for you to try. Enjoy!

Pao de Queijo (Cheese Puffs-Brazilian)

2 cups tapioca starch sweet and sour cassava starch
1 cup milk
1 / 2 cup margarine (I prefer butter)
1 teaspoon salt
1 1 / 2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Bring the milk, salt and margarine to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Slowly add the tapioca starch, stirring constantly until well blended.
Add cheese and eggs.
Knead until smooth.
Form balls about 2 inches in diameter and place on a greased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with Parmesan.
Bake until golden brown.
Eat hot.
Makes 20 puffs of cheese.

Pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread)

16 ounces of tapioca starch (polvilho)
1 / 2 cup sunflower oil
3 / 4 cup lowfat milk
3 eggs, large
1 / 3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 3 / 4 cup mild cheddar cheese, grated

Bring the milk and oil to boil in small saucepan.
Add to cassava.
Stir and let cool slightly.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add cheese and mix well.
Divide into pieces the size of a walnut or small plum.
Place a little oil on the hands and the dough into round balls.
Arrange on a baking sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit until done, about 10-12 minutes.
Serve hot.

Biscoitos de queijo

1 sm. potatoes
2 v. soup. butter
1 tsp shredded Cheddar or
1 tsp flour
1 / 2 c.. salt
1 / 2 c.. yeast

Peel and cook potatoes. Mash, then add the butter and cheese. Sift dry ingredients and add to potato mixture. On a lightly floured surface knead the dough 3 or 4 times, then the deployment to one third of an inch thick. Cut with a round cookie cutter. Place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet and brush the tops with milk or beaten egg yolk. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes. Makes 10-12.

Cheese Ball BLUE - HEART GROUP

8 ounces cream cheese
5 oz cheddar cheese
3 oz Roquefort or blue cheese
1 tsp tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 small clove of garlic (or minced garlic)
1 / 2 cup finely chopped pecans
1 / 2 cup chopped parsley

Prepare a day early to allow flavors to blend.

Let cheese soften at room temperature. Break into pieces. Add Worcestershire sauce and garlic. Cream and mix thoroughly with electric mixer. Stir in cup pecans 1 / 4.

Refrigerate until firm enough to shape into a ball. Ball Top with parsley and the other 1 / 4 cup nuts.

Serve with sturdy crackers and cucumber into thin slices.
