West Virginia's Cookies REESE Cup Bar
2 sticks margarine at room temperature
1 cup peanut butter
1 lb confectioners 'sugar'
1 1 / 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
16 oz milk chocolate chips
In a large bowl, beat together margarine, peanut butter, powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs. Mix thoroughly and Pat in the bottom of a dish of 9 x 13 inches or stove. Melt chocolate chips in microwave or double boiler, stirring until completely melted. Spread the chocolate over the peanut butter layer. Leave the chocolate before cutting into bars.
ENGLISH BAR COOKIES
2 cups brown sugar
3 / 4 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup of cold coffee
1 tsp teaspoon baking soda
2 v. teaspoon baking powder
3 cups flour
1 / 2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chopped dates, optional
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream brown sugar, eggs and butter. Dissolve baking soda in the cold coffee. Add coffee mixture soda / butter mixture. Add yeast and flour mixture and mix well. Add nuts and dates, if you are using. Spread on a greased and floured 12 x 17 inch baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool 1 minute. Frost with a glaze of powdered sugar simple.
