Bakery Business

Bakery BusinessHow do I start a bakery business at home?

I am seriously thinking about a bakery industry at home and bake cookies, muffins, biscotti and more. I have no idea where to start. I really need help with the legal part of it and how and where to advertise. Please help.

Depending on what state you live, it may be possible to do so (for example, in Florida, a commercial kitchen can not be connected to a home.)
Your kitchen will be able to pass regular inspections by the Ministry of Health.
You must obtain a license and register your business name with the state.
If you plan to have employees, you will have other legal bases to cover.

I do not know what is your experience with baking but I do not recommend trying this activity outside your home. It will be very difficult to maintain product quality and level of production you want without some serious equipment.

What is said in the best response is not completely true. Yes, it depends on the state where you live, but it is not difficult to obtain an inspection authorized in states that do allow them. I recommend this route first because the risks and costs are lower if it does not work for you. Report Abuse

Look for Paula Deen and follow his advice.

Slowly, he begins with some of your friends party and you can advertise for them. Let the taste of your work and get their ideas about your products. The offer to them, but make sure it will suit their taste. By this it can help you with your business.Sometimes slowly he begins to mouth rather than advertising great.

Good luck.

Well, I think you start by taking a Hawl ideas on paper. write what you and who will be asked, wat u want to sell, etc. Wen uve done that you should go to a lawyer about copyright and all legal aspects and get on the road. after that u need to know where to advertise. It mainly depends on ur budget. there are TV, redio, internet, magizenes, flyers, billboards etc. note of the one you want and u might choose television. go to a station, they should be able to help u. TV on more flyers Exspensive least probely. if u have a television, it is very Exspensive (camera, filming, actors, makeup, accessories, etc) if su radio might want to choose something that role all together or just put in place around somehome sighn broucheres stores with flyers and etc.
I hope it helped.

There are books that talk about entrepreneurship. More specifically for a bakery, you will probably not be able to sell items made in your own kitchen because of government regulation.

If I'm wrong I hope someone puts it, because I would have the same activity.

You can rent time in a commercial kitchen and make your dough there. This can help you get started.

Good luck.

One of my friends try this and I guess it worked she has taught a course cake (yeh shes a gurl cake) in a cooking center if it had a base and identification. you need to find some people and satisfy them large enough so that they begin to speak. word of mouth is the best thing wjhen it is advertising, but if you live in a big city (new yor city baby lol), try smaller newspapers and magazines and newspapers with readers who have the highest demnd Abd are potential customers. you do not need to integrate it to make it official - just someone might steal your Naem uinless and you pay cash (you really still) free from Uncle Sam - then its not a chance feat - and good - try to hire a professional instead of on answer gouing yshoo well - but keep in ITO low budget is good lol

FIRST - contact your local health department. It is rare.
