Baby Birthday Cakes

Posted on January 20, 2010.
Baby Birthday CakesWhat to consider when to let baby have a birthday cake?

I heard that people will make a birthday cake for baby and a separate cake for everyone. Me know that part of this is to let the baby play with his food. But the cake ingredients? What a good cake for a new one-year to eat? What should you consider buying or making one?

Most, if not all, of our local grocery stores will give you a free birthday cake for one year old one (a layer of Round 8 of an inch) when you buy another cake for the party. So you can check your stores, if you decide to buy.

I had a little heart-shaped mold and sheet cake using a cake mix for the first anniversary of my daughter (there are also other forms like stars for boys).

I'm not sure there really think with a heap of ingredients, obviously it is a rite of passage in the first experiment with processed sugars. I suggest a whipped cream frosting on a sugar-based one. And know that if you use food coloring to color the icing, you'll probably get this color shit the next day.

I just used the yellow cake mix.

I intend to give my son his own mini chocolate cake.My Mil makes and they are the size of a small saucer is different if plate.Everyone;) ..

The cake I make is similar to that suggested Sali. I Wacky Cake, but using this recipe:

I use whole wheat flour and applesauce instead of oil. I also use a dozen spoonfuls of cocoa rounded. I even cut the sugar a bit as there was in the glaze that I use:

I also use less sugar in it because there is sugar in the cake and soy milk. The last time I did I used soy milk chocolate.

Both sites have good recipes, delicious healthy, or at least healthy. If you want more sites, or check the history of my answers (as we say in matters related to food), or ask me and I'll try to check today or tomorrow.

with my son, we thought about making a cake, but opted against it separately. We got a regular yellow cake with icing (we ordered a bakery shop, complete with Mickey Mouse toys), we gave him a slice of size (a corner piece), put him in his highchair and leave him to it. I decided I did not want my son to still have the chocolate, not that much, and plus his dad and I love yellow cake, and we know that most people agree with the Yellow ... My son loved it (and got very messy, lol), everyone had a cake, and everything went well ... Just Do not Give too much of a piece, you do not want to overload the baby with sugar.

I had a little round cake separate from the other cake. I do not think he had the chocolate, yes, I had white cake and white frosting. I was worried about all the sugars and surprisingly enough, he ate a little. He played with it and mash and a great moment, but not that much went into his mouth. I do not think it really matters if you make or buy the cake. There are some good cake recipes out there that use applesauce instead of oil, it would be a bit healthier.
